Kulturskolan Raketen is an independent, non-profit primary school located in Björkhagen. In total, approximately 250 students from preschool class to grade 9 attend the school. The operation has been established for over 30 years and is well-integrated into the local community. Our profile is "Culture, Environment, and Justice," and we work based on the motto "a child has many languages," which includes integrating aesthetic subjects with theoretical ones in what we call "themes" starting from preschool class.
The atmosphere at the school is calm, the students are ambitious, and the teachers are experienced.
We are currently seeking a Specialist Teacher with a focus on reading and writing development for the autumn term of 2026. The position is 50% and is a permanent employment with a 6-month probation period.
As a specialist teacher in reading and writing development, you will be an active partner in support work, primarily at the lower secondary level, to help identify and implement appropriate early interventions. The role also includes participation at the middle and upper secondary levels. You must have excellent collaboration skills and broad experience in supporting students, teachers, and school leadership.
Good experience working in the early years of primary school, excellent collaboration skills, and thorough knowledge of how teaching and working methods can be adapted for a diverse student group are essential prerequisites for working at Kulturskolan Raketen.
Long-term experience as a teaching language teacher combined with a complementary specialist teacher education counts as relevant experience.

- Have experience working with students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF) and dyslexia
- Be able to build trusting relationships with parents/guardians
- Be able to assist the Student Health Team (EHT) in discussions regarding interventions for students
- Be a qualified specialist teacher with a focus on reading and writing development
The employment form is permanent, with a 50% workload and a 6-month probation period.
Furthermore, it is an asset if you are interested in the latest research in the field of reading and writing development and have the willingness and ability to participate in the development of the school's operations.
Start date is August 11, 2026. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
